What kinf of company?

WHO WE ARE
We are the Alternative Indigenous Development Foundation, Inc. (AIDFI): a social enterprise that tackles the problem of rural poverty by designing, fabricating, and promoting environment-friendly technology which is accessible and income augmenting, for the poor.

Building technology to serve the poor is a major challenge in the world today. Technology’s benefits must be brought to people, whatever their status, wherever they are, and in ways they can own and sustain. This is essential to promoting development, addressing poverty, and empowering communities.
quoted from: AID Fundation, Inc. homepage

I was impressed by the workers who were keen on seeking for solutions on solving local problems when I visited there in 2016.

At that time, we were explained that their material was amazing, especially Ram Pump.

Water is the essential material for living in the Earth.

If a Japanese living in Japan turn a faucet on, they get water easily.

However, much of developing countries people needs to go to a lake and scoop for water.

That was so hard for them.

Then, the AID Fundation acted to solve that problem using the RAM PUMP.

I watched how it worked, which was so amazing because it raised water automatically.

It made local people access to water easily.

Also, it didn’t need any electric power and petrol, only water.

It was a sustainable machine.

The staff said if it’s set on a good location, would raise approximately 230 meter.

Moreover, the pump created by the tools which local people can be easy to buy.

I think that is really important as a sustainable machine.

They act in other fields as well so you can check out their facebook and homepage.

What I learned

Important thing as sustainable machine

・Make people life convenience.

・Use a little bit of limited resources

・Manufacturing using local tools
