Hi!
Thank you for visiting Agri Step.
Suddenly, I’ve got something to tell to readers.
I am a farm trainee in America now!
Last year, I applied for this training program run by the Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC).
After that, I was able to pass the selection process, and prepare for my trip with great support from various people.
I am always grateful to everyone who is always looking forward to reading Agri Step.
I’m supposed to translate Japanese articles more so I hope you enjoy them.
I like the farmer’s life.
As a farmer, I have a lot of things I want to do.
It’s a really exciting job for me (^^)
I retired from the company I was working for about a year and a half the other day, and wrote a Second Step article with the feeling of taking the next step.
At my previous workplace, I learned how to grow bamboo shoots, kiwis, and garlic, and I was able to observe all year round.
There were many things I didn’t know yet, but every day I was taught the basics step by step from the beginning.
Moreover, the experience which I have about the company, logistics, food processing, mail order, and profit and loss calculation is really worthwhile.
I appreciate the people who surround me.
I will write about the content which shows my application process so that those who aspire to overseas training and host farmers in America could know about this program much more.
The road to being a farmer is still going on. I hope that readers will continue to enjoy reading!
